Hey, Everyone! Do you live in Alabama and have nothing to do this Saturday? Why not come out to 2010: A Space Oddity, hosted by the University of Alabama Creative Campus? There will be a lot of important people there, including the editor of Pyr Books, Lou Anders (@Pyr_Books on Twitter). Jack McDevitt, a phenomenal speaker and Nebula award winner, will also be in attendance. I highly recommend his talk, “How To Get Rejected.”
Lastly, I’ll be there, presenting a lecture/discussion called “Characters, Plot and Backstory: The Mechanics of Fiction” at 7:00 p.m.. You can find it at Shelby Hall, this Saturday, on the University of Alabama campus in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.

This Saturday is bad for me. Can we reschedule for next week? No, but seriously, that sounds like it would be a lot of fun and very informative. The next time one of these come around, give us a bit of lead time so I can hopefully make something happen.

I’ll be sure and post the presentation afterward. I may even make a short video of my own delivery of it!

A vidcast sounds like a great idea.
