I’d totally know this if I had actually gotten around to reading the rewrites you sent me ages ago, but are these chapters different because you rewrote more than I originally guessed, or because you shuffled things around for the sake of the medium?
I have to say that despite my initial skepticism, I am whole-heartedly enjoying the new way you’ve pieced together the first few chapters. I like getting to see more of the interpersonal relationships and their intricacies, even if it means sacrificing individual histories.
And I’m glad to see you kept the Circeville Gala–that was one of my very favorite parts of the first draft, and I was beginning to miss it just a little bit.
