The Gearheart – A Free Audiobook

Did you know I sold a book?

by on Feb.14, 2015, under News

Some of you may remember the post-script at the end of Maiden Flight of the Avenger. In it, I said I was getting out of podcasting to follow my dreams of selling a novel.

Last week, that dream came true.

Featuring Pullman-esque world building and set in a future Alabama city known as ‘The Hole,’ Every Mountain Made Low tells the story of Loxley, a young autistic woman whose family have the ability to see the restless dead. But for Loxley, the spirits of the deceased can see her back; they’re drawn to her like a bright fire, and their lightest touch leaves her with painful wounds. She avoids them as best she can, but she can’t say no to the spectre of Nora, her only friend, who was alive just hours ago. Swearing to take blood for blood and find her friend’s killer, she finds herself drawn into a conspiracy that will see her hunted down by the brutal enforcer of the corporate interests who reign over the hellish city.

-Official Announcement, Solaris Books

I hope you’ll join me in following along through the publication process on my new site, And I know I’ve tested your patience for the past three years, but I hope you’ll indulge me for a little longer. If this book is successful, that’ll help The Gearheart out tremendously.

Contest: Let’s Infiltrate The Ministry!

by on May.22, 2013, under News

Now is the time! The Seekers of the Arcane Unknown have stood by long enough as the equally long-named Ministry of Peculiar Occurrences began hording occult artifacts. It’s time to infiltrate their ranks and take them apart from the inside. How better to do that than from within their world, using the new RPG from Galileo Games? We need to help them get funded, so we can roll up characters, jump into their story, and take back what rightfully belongs in our Quartmaster’s vault in Circeville! Forget slash fiction. We shall write slash and burn fiction.

As your Headmaster, I’m offering you a bounty: you throw me a tweet or share my Facebook post, and you’ll be entered to win a copy of my Ministry fiction, “The Boy, the Bomb & the Witch, Who Returned.” The winner will also receive a copy of the “Last Days of the October Squadron Soundtrack.”

Episode 8 Delayed Due to Calamity

by on Apr.29, 2011, under Maiden Flight, News

So I am halfway done recording episode 8 of Maiden Flight. I have all of the voices and music I’ll need to complete the series. However, one of the worst storm systems in Alabama’s history swept through on Wednesday and knocked out our power plant. All three units were tripped at the nuclear plant, and the transmission lines running to it were decimated.

Sadly, the supplies to finish the rest of the episode are in my powerless studio. So for the time being, everything will have to wait. I apologize for the delay.

The Show is Late Again?

by on Apr.03, 2011, under News

Why is the show late? What has he been up to? Where are the last three episodes of Maiden Flight?!

To answer your questions, I’ve been working releasing my first ever self-pubbed book. It won’t be ready for another week or two, but I’ve got a sneak peek for you! Check out the cover!

I’m in the final stages of typesetting, and any ePub advice you can offer would be excellent. For those following Renée’s recovery, you should know that we’ve had a setback or two, but we’ll be back in the saddle in no time! Thanks for your patience.
